| ABOUT THE WOMEN'S FORUM The purpose of the
Women's Forum is to bring together the women of the University System of
Maryland in order to enhance the status of women, to foster networking
among women and to encourage the participation of women in all facets of
the System.
It is the express purpose of the Women's Forum to respect and to value
the diversity and richness of the perspectives and experiences of all
communities of women within the System.
The Executive Council of the USM Women's
Forum consists of three representatives from each USM institution. The
Chancellor sanctions the Executive Council and its four annual meetings.
Each campus determines its own method for selection of representatives;
however, at least one representative will be a presidential appointment.
The Executive Council works tirelessly year-round to bring you quality
programming; to raise and award funding for scholarships, research, and
training; to disseminate publications to keep you informed; to act as an
advocate for issues relating to women in the USM; and to conduct other
important activities.
To get involved, contact your campus
representative.
